The City of Port Colborne is asking residents to PORTicipate online this holiday long weekend with a City of Port Colborne Virtual Easter Challenge.
Starting 8 a.m. on April 1, until 10 p.m. on April 5, the City of Port Colborne’s Virtual Easter Challenge will include activities that can be completed at home or outside, in a socially distance manner, using the GooseChase app. Activities include, Easter related crafts, egg hunt and more.
“The City’s events team is coming up with new and exciting activities to engage the community even during a global pandemic,” said Mayor Bill Steele. “This event will allow families across Port Colborne to PORTicipate in Easter festivities while still keeping safe and following government guidelines.”
The GooseChase app can be downloaded for free on IOS or Android from the app store. Instructions on how to join the game can be found on the City’s website. The game code will be posted on the City’s website and social media channels on April 1.
Points will be rewarded for each activity that is completed. If you achieve 1400 points you will be put into a draw for a $100 gift card to a local Port Colborne business of your choice.
Items needed to PORTicipate in each activity:
