Open House

Tim Welch Consulting, the firm hired to complete the City of Port Colborne’s affordable housing strategy, joined city staff at an open house on July 5, 2022, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the L.R. Wilson Heritage Research Archives, 286 King Street.

The consultants led the open house with a short presentation about housing needs in Port Colborne, followed by opportunities that allowed attendees to browse posterboards, ask questions, and provide input on the vision, goals, and recommendations of the affordable housing strategy.

Public Notices & Consultation

Part of the consultant’s methodology will include conducting public consultations and interviews with key stakeholders. Residents who have experienced housing issues will have the opportunity to share their perspectives and offer input that will form part of the final implementation plan.

An Affordable Housing Strategy Survey was made available from May 2 to 13, 2022. Thank you to all the participants who took the time to complete it.
