The Canadian Authors Series is pleased to announce the launch of a series of free virtual events starting this September.
Thursday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m.: The Winter Wives by Linden MacIntyre
- The legendary broadcast journalist and Scotiabank Giller Prize-winner launches his new novel, a thrilling new psychological drama that weaves threads of crime, disability, and dementia together into a tale of unrequited love and delusion
Thursday, October 28 at 7 p.m.: Speak Silence by Kim Echlin
- From the author of the internationally bestselling and Scotiabank Giller prize shortlisted The Disappeared comes an astounding, poetic novel about war and loss, suffering and courage, and the strength of women through it all.
Thursday, November 25 at 7 p.m.: August into Winter by Guy Vanderhaeghe
- The first novel in nearly a decade from the three-time Governor General’s Award-winning author is an epic story of crime and retribution, of war and its long shadow, and of the redemptive possibilities of love.
Thursday, January 27 at 7 p.m.: All Together Now by Alan Doyle
- Beloved singer, songwriter and storyteller Alan Doyle offers his cure for the COVID blues.
To access the series, participants will need a computer, phone, or tablet with internet and the Zoom app. All participants must be register online. Once registered, participants will receive an email approximately one week prior to each event containing all the relevant login information.
