Beach season is here! Just a reminder, Port Colborne residents can register for their very own #PORTicipate Pass. This summer you can access the beaches for free by registering online.
Once you’ve registered for your #PORTicipate Pass and either picked it up, or received it by mail, you’re ready to head to the beach!
- City Hall
- The Vale Health and Wellness Centre (Rink Entrance)
- Nickel Beach
Our customer service team will reach out via email to confirm your pickup date and time. Please make sure to check your junk mail if you haven’t received an email notification from us within 5 days of registering for your pass.
When going to Nickel Beach or Centennial-Cedar Bay Beach this summer, you will need both your #PORTicipate Pass along with a piece of ID to show proof of address, such as a driver’s license, tax bill, or any bill that shows both your name and address. Only one #PORTicipate Pass is required per carload for entry into the beach. The #PORTicipate Pass also allows you to park on the beach, no advanced registration required.
#PORTicipate Passes are non-transferable and can only be used by the person who registers for it. For example, if you have 5 people in your household over the age of 16, all 5 household members are eligible to receive a #PORTicipate Pass. The #PORTicipate Pass cannot be shared among family members.
We hope you enjoy the beach this summer. Remember to stay safe and healthy and be mindful of physical distancing practices. Share your beach photos by tagging @cityofportcolborne and using #PORTicipate.
