Mural Design for Lions Field Chosen by Residents

Lions Field, situated in the heart of Port Colborne, is a vibrant community hub frequented by residents and various user groups. It serves as the annual venue for the Lions Club Carnival. Recognizing the significance of this public space, the municipality has undertaken the Lions Field construction project to enhance its appeal and functionality.

In November, a public opinion survey was announced and community feedback was requested to help determine which of four possible mural designs would be chosen for an existing building facing Killaly Street West. Each proposed mural incorporated several design elements, including a lion to represent the Lions Club, baseball players, the Port Colborne landscape and notable aspects of the Lions Carnival. The overarching goal of the mural is to convey a positive atmosphere that reflects community spirit.

The winning mural design, chosen by popular vote is design option 2.
