Just over a week left to go for a chance to win the ultimate Port Colborne staycation

With just over a week left to go, residents and visitors still have time to enter for a chance to win the ultimate Port Colborne staycation!

This is the year for road trips, backyard adventures and summer staycations. With beautiful beaches, a vibrant waterfront community with boutiques, restaurants, cafes, hiking trails and parks, exploration is endless in Port Colborne. This south Niagara coastal community is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway, daytrip, or even just a random sunny Sunday cruise.

“Port Colborne is definitely worth exploring and this contest helps showcase top spots in the city to visit,” said Scott Luey, CAO. “The goal of the contest is to engage both residents and visitors by promoting local businesses, parks and City amenities like the library and museum.”

Launched on August 1, the City is offering the chance to win the ultimate Port Colborne staycation to one lucky winner. The prize package includes more than $500 in local gift cards, two cruiser bikes, a Port Colborne Public Library gift package and a behind the scenes tour of the Museum.

“This contest has been well received by the community,” added Luey. “More than 150 people have PORTicipated to date and I’m confident we’ll get even more entries in the next week. Keep an eye out for these photo frames and don’t forget to tag the City on social media. We look forward to seeing many more smiling faces.”

Entering is easy! Until August 31, find a photo frame set up around Port Colborne at various popular destinations including H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park, Port Colborne Promenade, Nickel Beach and the Port Colborne Public Library, snap a photo and post it to either Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter using #PortColborneStaycation. The winner will be announced the first week of September.
