The City of Port Colborne is seeking volunteers to serve on a newly established Healthcare Advisory Committee. There are currently five vacancies open to residents who are interested in participating in the development of a healthcare services strategy, which will impact the future of healthcare in Port Colborne for years to come.
The Healthcare Advisory Committee was established at the Port Colborne City Council meeting on March 25, and will primarily work to ensure the residents of Port Colborne have appropriate access to local healthcare services.
“As Council works to determine the best steps forward for healthcare in Port Colborne, we will look to the Healthcare Advisory Committee to add their voices, expertise and guidance on how best to support and expand local healthcare services,” said Port Colborne Mayor, William Steele.
The deadline to apply for a seat on the committee is Tuesday, April 22.
