After a long night for emergency and hydro crews, most hydro has been restored in the City but we’re aware there are still areas without power. Canadian Niagara Power is continuing to work to restore power. If you are still without power, we have set up a warming space in the lobby of the Vale Health & Wellness Centre for you to stay warm and charge any devices.
If your home has been without power for an extended period, here is some information about food safety during and after an extended power outage.
As crews work to clean up downed trees and/or restore power, the following roads throughout the City are closed:

Please avoid these areas.
Also a reminder: please remember to always stay clear of downed power lines. Never assume a line on the ground is not energized, wait for trained professionals to attend.
To report a power outage or electrical emergency call Canadian Niagara Power Inc. 1-844-501-WIRE (9473).
