Nickel Beach has some of the best beach amenities around! Plan your visit today!

Accessible Washrooms

Thanks to a generous donation from Vale Canada Ltd, Nickel Beach has clean, accessible washrooms available for beachgoers. Located right near the entrance of the beach, the washrooms are open between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. daily, during beach season (Victoria Day long weekend to Thanksgiving long weekend). Washroom facilities are not available during the winter.

SplashTown Niagara Inflatable Waterpark

The SplashTown Niagara inflatable waterpark offers a unique combination of thrills, slides and fun activities for kids and families! Please note that this inflatable waterpark is not operated by the City of Port Colborne.

Book your passes to SplashTown Niagara online in advance: SplashTown Inflatable Water Parks | Kids Family Fun Ontario

Please note:

  • Nickel Beach parking passes are separate from passes for SplashTown Niagara and must be purchased separately.

  • Having a SplashTown Niagara Splash Pass does not grant or guarantee parking.

  • While Port Colborne residents with a PORTicipate Pass can park for free in Zone 2, the PORTicipate Pass does not grant free access to SplashTown Niagara.

Dog Zone

New for 2024, Nickel Beach now has a Dog Zone, where you and your furry friend can have a blast together in the sand and water. Grab your leash and make some memories with your four-legged companion as you explore the sandy shores and splash in the waves together.

Dogs must remain on leash and within the designated Dog Zone.

Rental Beach Loungers

Beach loungers are available for daily rentals for $5 + HST and can be purchased in-person from the beach attendants.

Take a Toy, Leave a Toy Bin

At the beach, sharing is caring! Our 'Take a Toy, Leave a Toy' bin invites you to borrow, leave behind, and swap beach and water toys. Grab something new to play with or leave a toy behind for others. It's a fun way to spread joy and keep the beach community happy!

Accessible Beach Mat

Beachgoers who might find it challenging to traverse the sand can get closer to Lake Erie with our accessible beach mat/path. This sturdy pathway makes it easy for everyone to enjoy the beach. Beachgoers can soak up the beauty of the lake with fewer barriers. Come experience the joy of the shore with us!

Garbage & Recycling

Nickel Beach is a natural area and we ask visitors to please be respectful of the environment.

Please use the waste receptacles provided, but only discard items that can be discarded in a regular household garbage. If you are using charcoal BBQ or have a leftover propane tank, it’s your responsibility to dispose of it correctly. Please don’t litter or leave BBQ waste at the beach.
