Berkley Avenue residents to experience water disruption due to hydrant replacement

Weather permitting, Public Works staff will be shutting off water on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, beginning at 9 a.m., for a period of nine hours, to homes on Berkley Avenue to replace a hydrant.

Staff will be notifying impacted homeowners and apologize for the inconvenience.

The hydrant replacement is required to improve and maintain safe and reliable drinking water to your home in addition to ensuring fire services has access to water sources.

GIO Rail conducting weed spraying June 2 and 3

GIO Rail will be in Port Colborne Thursday, June 2 and Friday, June 3, 2022, spraying weeds along the rail lines throughout Port Colborne. They will be spraying a width of nine feet to capture the rail line only.

There will be no impact to local traffic.
