Displays, rentals and unique collections

The library has more than just books! Take time to explore our displays and art exhibits. Did you know that the library has access to more collections than what you see on the shelves? Ask us about these and our other services and rental opportunities. We are happy to help.

  • The library displays work from local artists and artisans throughout the year.
  • The auditorium and King Street sign are available to rent. Email us to find out more.
  • If you have trouble reading print, we can get you materials from the Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA).
  • For your gardening needs, browse our collection of open-pollinated seeds and take home the varieties that interest you.

Available services

We have many services you can use from home, on the go, or at the library.

Computer and internet access

We provide free internet access through computer stations and Wi-Fi. Our internet access policy outlines our terms of use. Electronic databases, the complete Microsoft Office Suite, scanning, email, and reference titles are also available. See our digital resources for online options available.

Loan of materials

Your library card gives you access to our large collection of books, DVDs, video games, board games, digital resources, and more! Local history materials and newspapers are available to use on-site.

Printing, photocopying and scanning

We can help you with your printing needs. You can print and make photocopies in either black & white or colour. Ask our staff to help you with scanning to a USB. Please note there is a cost for printing services. You can print from our computers, or submit your pages online.

Wireless and remote printing

Submit files from home or a personal device. Print requests will be available immediately for up to 72 hours after submission. If a request is not picked up after 72 hours, it will be automatically deleted. Password protected files cannot be printed.

To print from a computer or smart device:

  1. Navigate to https://pcpl.eprintitsaas.com/public/upload
  2. Select your file(s) and upload.
  3. For each file, select:
    • number of copies
    • black and white or color printing
    • one-sided or two-sided
    • paper size
    • layout
    • page range
  4. Enter a guest name. Email or phone are optional, but will provide a notice that your submission was received. Some service providers may not support these emails/SMS messages.
  5. Click or tap submit. A pop-up will confirm the job has been sent.

Please visit the circulation desk and provide the guest name used or the code provided (email submission) to release your print job(s). If you submit a request from a device offsite, please call us at 905-834-6512 to confirm the files have been received before coming in.

Payment options include cash, cheque or debit.

Pop-up and outreach

Our library “pops-up” throughout our community with library materials and programming for all ages and interests. You can find us at Market Square, in school classrooms, and at special events. Readers' advisory and reference services

Library staff are happy to help you choose your next book, audiobook, or DVD. We also answer reference questions and direct you to the information you need. Email us, phone us at 905-834-6512, or ask us in person on your next visit.

School visits

We love to have school classes visit us. It’s a great way for children to explore and learn about the library. Story time and a lesson included. Teachers who can’t bring their class to the library are welcome to arrange a visit from our Pop-Up Librarian. Email us or phone us at 905-834-6512 to schedule class visits from October to May.

Visiting library service

When you can’t visit us, we will visit you. Our volunteers deliver materials to patrons unable to visit the library due to short-term illness, disability, or age. Email us or phone us at 905-834-6512 to make arrangements.
