West Street extension bridge replacement to begin September 1

Starting Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, Rankin Construction Inc. is scheduled to begin construction on the West Street extension bridge on behalf of the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation. The anticipated completion date is Nov. 30, 2021. During this time West Street will be closed between Clarence Street and Park Street. Detour and road closure signs will be posted.

Public Information Centre No. 1 - Eastside Sewage Pumping Station

Niagara Region has begun a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study to assess alternative routes for the Eastside Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) forcemain. This project will evaluate options for crossing the canal together with other planned infrastructure, specifically a Regional watermain to Barrick Road and the City of Port Colborne’s sanitary forcemain for the future East Side Employment Lands Sewage Pumping Station.
