Walk-ins now available at all Niagara Region Public Health COVID-19 vaccination clinics

To help make it easier to get the vaccine, walk-ins for those getting their first and second doses are now welcome at all Niagara Region Public Health COVID-19 vaccination clinics from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Anyone 12 years of age or older who does not yet have their first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine is encouraged to come to any Public Health clinic across the region whenever and wherever works best for them. Both Moderna and Pfizer vaccines will be available at all clinics.

Digging for Roots: Diversity Garden

To celebrate community diversity, both past and present, the Port Colborne Historical & Marine Museum has launched a new initiative this summer called Digging for Roots: Diversity Garden. This initiative is asking local artists to paint flowerpots showcasing what diversity means to them. Port Colborne outlines City facility updates as province moves to Step 3

Effective Friday, July 16, 2021, at 12:01 a.m., the City of Port Colborne, along with the rest of Ontario, will move to Step 3 of the Roadmap to Reopen based on the ongoing progress of vaccination rates and improvements of key public health indicators.

The following will take effect Friday, July 16, 2021:

  • Outdoor social gatherings and organized public events for up to 100 people

Wilhelm Road between Highway 3 and Second Concession Road closed July 19 to 23

Starting, Monday, July 19, 2021, at 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021, Wilhelm Road from Second Concession Road to Highway 3 will be temporarily closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic as Niagara Region replaces a large road crossing culvert.

Detour signs will be posted, and motorists are asked to use the following route:

RR98 (Schill Rd.) / RR25 (Netherby Rd.) / RR84 (Miller Rd.) / Highway 3

There will be no emergency vehicle access during this time.
