Watermain Break – Ridgewood Avenue

City Public Works staff are responding to a watermain break at

-        Ridgewood Avenue, between Clarence Street and Division Street

Ridgewood Avenue is also closed as crews work to repair the break.

Residents in these areas may experience a disruption in water service.
Staff will be notifying impacted homeowners and apologize for the inconvenience. Crews are currently on-site, and the emergency repair is required to improve and maintain safe and reliable drinking...

Fire code violation conviction – 803 King Street

On Jan. 14, 2022, 1825081 Ontario Inc. was convicted in Provincial Offences Court for failing to comply with the Ontario Fire Code and was fined a total of $6,255.00, $5,000.00 plus $1,255.00 in victim surcharges, in accordance with the provisions of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act.

Downtown snow removal update - January 28, 2022

Public Works crews have been removing snow from the downtown core and will continue for approximately the next two weeks, weather dependent.  To assist with snow removal, roads and/or parking lots/stalls will be closed as needed. Access to these closures will only be provided to emergency vehicles. If you see closed roads and/or our crews working, please drive with caution for everyone’s safety.

Public Works crews will be removing snow from the downtown core for approximately the next two weeks, weather dependent.  To assist with snow removal, roads and/or parking lots/stalls will be closed as needed.
