Dear Port Colborne Stakeholder,
The Ontario Small Business Relief Grant provides a one-time payment of $10,000 to eligible small businesses that have been required to close indoor operations as a result of the province’s modified Step 2 restrictions that came into effect on January 5, 2022.

Walk-ins and appointments are now available for Niagara Region Public Health vaccination clinics taking place across Niagara. Eligible residents can walk-in, or book an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccination either online through the provincial portal at Ontario.ca/bookvaccine or by calling the provincial booking system at 1-833-943-3900.

Port Colborne advocating for marine strategy in pre-budget submission to province

Port Colborne joined other Ontario cities and towns, and key stakeholder groups including the Chamber of Marine Commerce, in recommending that the province create an Ontario Marine Transportation Strategy and establish an Ontario Marine Secretariat to develop a policy and funding framework.

Grandparent Scam Warning

The Niagara Regional Police Service are warning the public about the “Grandparent Scam”.
This scam usually involves a phone call from someone claiming to be a family member (possibly a grandchild or child). The caller asks for help stating that they have been arrested. The caller may possibly hand the phone over to another person pretending to be a police officer who then demands money or gift cards to bail them out of jail.
If you receive a call like this, be prepared as the scammer may already...
