The Niagara Peninsula Tree Planting Partnership (NPTPP) invites private landowners to join collective efforts to bring millions of trees to the Niagara Peninsula watershed, in support of Canada’s goal of planting two billion trees.

Did you know that the Vale Health & Wellness Centre (VHWC) has been open for almost 10 years!? In advance of this milestone, we were excited to announce that we are looking for a new food and beverage vendor for the main level of the centre. Before our search for vendors, we wanted to hear from our community through a short survey which was available from October 26 to November 9, 2022.

Fire code violation conviction - 85 St Arnaud Street

On Jan. 12, 2023, the property owner of 85 St Arnaud Street, Port Colborne was convicted in Provincial Offences Court for failing to comply with the Ontario Fire Code. The owner was fined $4,000 plus court costs, in accordance with the provisions of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act.

After a few years hiatus, SportsFest returns in Port Colborne, Feb. 10- 12, 2023, for a weekend filled with sports and activities for all ages and interests across the city. Several local charities benefit too, with proceeds from various events donated to the Port Colborne Fire & Emergency Services Fire Prevention Program, Light of Day Foundation, and Special Olympics Ontario.
