Brock Badgers vs. Windsor Lancers men’s hockey game returns to the Vale Health & Wellness Centre

The Vale Health & Wellness Centre is pleased to welcome back the Brock Badgers vs. Windsor Lancers men’s university exhibition hockey game when the puck drops at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022.

Admission to the game is free and tickets are not required, but nonperishable food items are being accepted at the entrance in support of Port Cares.

Are you registered to vote in the 2022 Ontario Municipal and School Board Elections on Oct. 24, 2022? Your name must be on the voters’ list in order for you to cast a ballot.

Registered Niagara electors will receive voter information notices or cards in the mail telling them when and where to vote, including advanced polling dates and locations for most municipalities in Niagara. This may not be applicable for municipalities who will vote by mail.

Municipal offices, including City Hall, Operations Centre, Port Colborne Public Library, Roselawn Centre, and L.R. Wilson Heritage Research Archives, will be closed Monday, September 19, 2022, to respectfully acknowledge the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Vale Health & Wellness Centre, Sugarloaf Marina, and Port Colborne Historical & Marine Museum, including Arabella’s Tea Room, will remain open, operating regular business hours.

The City of Port Colborne is taking action to create more affordable housing units and more housing supply through a new strategy and partnership.

At its Sept. 13, 2022, council meeting, Port Colborne council approved report 2022-201, an affordable housing strategy and action plan presented by Tim Welch Consulting (TWC).
