Fire code violation conviction – 803 King Street

On Jan. 14, 2022, 1825081 Ontario Inc. was convicted in Provincial Offences Court for failing to comply with the Ontario Fire Code and was fined a total of $6,255.00, $5,000.00 plus $1,255.00 in victim surcharges, in accordance with the provisions of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act.

On June 9, 2020, Port Colborne Fire & Emergency Services responded to 803 King Street for a fire alarm activation reported by a monitoring company. The fire alarm had been reset prior to the fire departments...

Downtown snow removal update - January 28, 2022

Public Works crews have been removing snow from the downtown core and will continue for approximately the next two weeks, weather dependent.  To assist with snow removal, roads and/or parking lots/stalls will be closed as needed. Access to these closures will only be provided to emergency vehicles. If you see closed roads and/or our crews working, please drive with caution for everyone’s safety.

Removing snow from downtown core to continue for two weeks

Public Works crews will be removing snow from the downtown core for approximately the next two weeks, weather dependent.  To assist with snow removal, roads and/or parking lots/stalls will be closed as needed. Access to these closures will only be provided to emergency vehicles. If you see closed roads and/or our crews working, please drive with caution for everyone’s safety.

After a week of snowfall, snowbanks are accumulating across the City. Public Works crews are continuing clean-up efforts, focusing on snow removal primarily in our downtown core.

To remove the snow from the downtown core, roads and parking lots will need to be closed.
