Effective Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, the City of Port Colborne, along with the rest of Ontario, will move into a provincewide shutdown.

On Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, the Ontario Government announced a provincewide shutdown in response to the growing number of COVID-19 cases. Southern Ontario will be on lockdown for 28 days, while the province closely monitors the impacts of these measures.

Niagara Region announced Garbage, Blue Box, Grey Box, and Green Bin collection is delayed one day due to Christmas Day in 2020 and New Year’s Day in 2021. The only collection day affected is Friday. 

Below is the schedule for curbside collection during the holidays: 

For properties with Friday collection only: Collection will be delayed one day due to Christmas Day in 2020 and New Year's Day in 2021. All other collection days remain the same.
