Clarence Street sidewalk construction to begin late Spring 2021

The City of Port Colborne will move forward with construction of the Clarence Street sidewalk between Hampton Avenue to Wood Lane, as approved by City Council at last week’s meeting. At the Council meeting on Monday, March 8, 2021, Council discussed a report presented by the Public Works Department that highlighted the importance of installing this new sidewalk to promote accessible and barrier free active transportation.

Niagara transit operators are pleased to be providing free transit fare to residents to and from their COVID-19 vaccination appointments. More than 40,000 masks were handed out to Port Colborne residents at last week’s free non-medical mask giveaway hosted by Fire & Emergency Services.

Online vaccination registration starts today in Niagara

Port Colborne residents 80 years of age and older are able to register online for the COVID-19 vaccination starting today, either online at Ontario.ca/bookvaccine or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Information Line number at 1-888-999-6488.
