The City of Port Colborne has lowered flags to half-mast at City Hall out of respect and in memory of the 751 children discovered in unmarked graves at a former residential school in Saskatchewan. Our hearts go out to the Cowessess First Nation & all Indigenous communities grieving this devastating loss.
Household-Only Dining Restriction Now Lifted in Niagara

With local COVID-19 case numbers and reproductive rate meeting designated thresholds, the restriction on dining with household members only as part of section 22 orders in Niagara, is being lifted for parties dining outdoors as of today, Thursday, June 24, 2021. All other additional restrictions for food and drink premises remain in effect, as do additional restrictions for shopping malls and retail stores.

Sherkston Road, between Empire Road & Pleasant Beach Road, closed tomorrow, June 24

Tomorrow, Thursday, June 24, from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sherkston Road, between Empire Road and Pleasant Beach Road, will be closed as City crews install a cross culvert. There will be emergency access and local traffic from Empire Road only. There will be no access from Pleasant Beach Road. Road closure and detour signs will be posted.

Holloway Bay Road added to parking restrictions in effect for Port Colborne

With increased traffic to Port Colborne’s Lake Erie shoreline, Holloway Bay Road has been added to the list of parking prohibitions in effect until October 31, 2021.
Beach season is here, and the City has implemented various parking prohibitions on a number of roads leading to the Lake Erie shoreline.
