National Volunteer Appreciation Week

Posted by Corporate Communications on Sunday, April 19th, 2020

April 19-25, 2020, marks National Volunteer Appreciation Week. This is a very important week for the City of Port Colborne because it gives us the opportunity to recognize and thank our amazing volunteers for selflessly giving their time to their community. Without the dedication and support from our volunteers, many of our events and programs in Port Colborne would not be possible. Throughout National Volunteer Appreciation Week we will be recognizing some of our volunteers on our social media pages Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Be sure to give us a like or follow and get to know some of our volunteers who have dedicated their time to the City and their community. Thank you, and way to PORTicipate!

During these unprecedented times, it is important to us to stay connected with our community and extend our sincerest gratitude for everything our community has done for us, continues to do for us, and will do for us in the future. We look forward to seeing our Roselawn Centre, Port Colborne Public Library, Port Colborne Historical & Marine Museum, and Arabella’s Team Room volunteers once our facilities re-open.

Every year roughly 450 people volunteer for the City in some way. If you would like to join our volunteer team please email volunteers@portcolborne.ca or call 905-835-2900 ext. 566.
