The St. Catharines Provincial Courthouse will close as part of Niagara Region's efforts to consolidate its court services. Beginning at noon on Oct. 31, 2019, all provincial offence services will operate out of the Welland Courthouse, located at 445 East Main St.
Regional Council approved the consolidation of the provincial courthouses across Niagara. The use of the St. Catharines Courthouse located at 71 King St. has been in decline since the October 2017 opening of the Welland Courthouse.
Niagara residents are reminded that many court services can be done electronically.
