CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - MARINA
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE - MARINA
SEASONAL POSITION MAY TO DECEMBER – 40 hours per week
(Weekdays; Weekends; Day and Evening Shifts)
As the Customer Service Representative, you will provide front line customer service and information on rates, the facility and activities for Sugarloaf Marina. This will include payment processing and deposits using point of sales system, balancing and closing out daily tills, and updating customer account information. This will also include providing docking direction to transient guests via radio, booking appointments for operational needs and maintaining various databases. You will also be responsible to perform additional administrative duties as related to Marina operations.
The successful candidate will have education in the area of hospitality, customer service or bookkeeping, in addition to related experience with cash handling and Microsoft products. Knowledge or experience with ActiveNet/CLASS, Harbour Management System, or Diamond Financial System is an asset. Knowledge of boating and boating vernacular, posession of a Pleasure Craft Operator’s Card and VHF Radio license is an asset.
Wage: $15.08 per hour

Temporary Position – 12 weeks
The City of Port Colborne has received funding through Young Canada Works to hire a Media and Design Officer starting in May for 12 weeks. The ideal candidate is:
· enrolled in Media Communications, Graphic Design or Marketing Program
· knowledgeable and interested in the region of Niagara and Port Colborne
· has outstanding communication and oral speaking skills
· able to research, write and design communications such as press releases, brochures and profiles
· able to create and edit content using current software applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
· experienced with videography
· self-motivated and able to work independently
To be considered a candidate for this position you must meet the requirements defined by Young Canada Works which are:
· A Canadian citizen
· 18 – 30 years of age
Rate of Pay - $14.00 per hour
