Watermain Break causes Partial Road Closure and Facility Closure

City Public Works staff and contractors are attending to a watermain break at the following location:

-       Southwest corner of Main St E (Highway 3) and Elizabeth St

These repairs will result in a partial road closure of Elizabeth Street. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible. 

The watermain break is also resulting in a disruption of water service, causing the following City facility to close:

Effective today, Tuesday, March 15 at 12:01 a.m., the City of Port Colborne, along with the Niagara Region and our fellow municipalities, officially ended the municipal States of Emergency that have been in place since April 3, 2020, as they are no longer necessary.

Popping up a patio just got easier for Port Colborne businesses

At their meeting this week, council approved new changes to the guidelines for operating a pop-up patio in the city, which includes the waiving of fees.
