Councillor Ron Bodner
I would like to thank the voters in Ward Four for giving me another opportunity to serve them on city council. Since first being elected in 1997, I have been proud to serve the residents of Ward Four and all Port Colborne citizens as a Councillor until 2003 and then as Mayor until 2006. Now back on council, I look forward to bringing the unique needs of Ward Four before council to ensure we get the resources we need to continue to improve our ward.
I have had the very good fortune to grow up in Ward Four, work here my whole life and raise my family here. My wife Claire and I were married in 1967, have two grown children and one granddaughter. I have been self-employed all my life and Claire worked at the Port Colborne General Hospital and is now a visiting nurse with Saint Elizabeth Health Care.
One of the challenges in our city continues to be attracting new residential, industrial and business growth for both employment and assessment. I can assure you that I will continue to work hard to make this happen.
We do need to maintain and improve our city in a fiscally responsible way.
I encourage you to contact me with any ideas or questions and I look forward to working with you to make Port Colborne an even better city in which to live, work and play.
