Councillor Ron Bodner

I am very proud to once again be representing Ward Four on city council. I was elected in 1997 as a Councillor until 2003 and then as Mayor until 2006. I was re-elected to council in 2011.  It has been my pleasure to serve the residents of Ward Four and all the citizens of our city.  I look forward to bringing the unique needs of Ward Four before council to ensure we receive the resources we need to continue to improve our ward.

I have had the very good fortune to grow up in Ward Four, work here my whole life and raise my family here.  My wife Claire and I married in 1967, have two grown children and one granddaughter.  I have been self-employed all my life and Claire worked as a nurse at the Port Colborne General Hospital and as a visiting nurse in the community.

I will continue to work hard trying to attract new residential, industrial and business growth for both employment and assessment

We do need to maintain and improve our city in a fiscally responsible way.

I encourage you to contact me with ideas or questions and look forward to working with you to make Port Colborne an even better city in which to live, work and play.

Thank you.

Councillor Barbara Butters

Councillor Barb buttersWelcome to the "Butters Zone". Our family has lived in Ward 4 for over 40 years and we love it.

I have served on council since 1997, elected by the citizens of beautiful Ward 4.  My duties include sitting on various boards and commissions - to name a few - Heritage Committee, Airport Commission, Volunteer Committee, Environmental Advisory Committee, member of Port Colborne Feline Initiative, member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 56 and a Bridges Community Health Centre board member.

Hobbies include gardening, painting in oils and acrylics. My husband, Larry, is now retired from the paramedic service, so we have more time for camping. We share our home with a rescued gray, rather large cat, named Sam and recently little Brodie the Super Sheltie joined Team Butters!

You can reach me at home at 905-834-4005.
