Public Notice - Closing of Part of the Carl Road Allowance

Take notice that the Council of the City of Port Colborne will hold a public meeting to consider a by-law to permanently close part of:

Carl Road: Part of the road allowance between Lots 18 & 19, Concession 2 more particularly described as Part 1 & 2 on Plan 59R-16702 (part of unopened road between Highway No. 3 and Second Concession Road).

Details of the Public Meeting:

Date: June 22, 2020

Time: 6:30 p.m.

Location: City Hall Council Chambers, 3rd floor, 66 Charlotte Street, Port Colborne

Mapping illustrating the portion of the road allowance is available for inspection (together with this notice) on the municipality’s website http://portcolborne.ca/page/planning_and_development. As City Hall is currently closed due to COVID-19, anyone wishing to view the mapping in person can call Dan Aquilina, Director of Planning and Development at 905-835-2900 ext. 203 schedule an appointment.

Written and/or oral comments will be considered at the public meeting and can be forwarded to the undersigned. Written comments should be submitted by no later than June 11, 2020 to be included in the staff’s information report. Council will hear any person or their solicitor/agent who claims his/her land will be prejudicially affected by the proposed closure and who applies to be heard at the meeting.
