COVID-19 | A message from the By-Law Division regarding Parking Inspections

Posted by Corporate Communications on Thursday, April 16th, 2020

By-Law officers will be inspecting parking violations in our “hot spot” areas, such as our Downtown streets, to ensure there is adequate parking for customers to pick up food, medicine and other essentials at various restaurants and essential businesses.

By-Law officers will be educating drivers on the two (2) hour time limit on City streets between now and Monday, April 20, 2020. Starting Monday, April 20, 2020, By-Law will be moving from education to enforcement and issuing tickets to anyone who violates the two (2) hour limit.

If residents are looking for somewhere to park for more than two (2) hours, or overnight, they are advised to use one of our Municipal Lots or off street parking.
