2. Submit It. Photo entries (a maximum of two per entrant) can be uploaded electronically as a .jpeg or .png, or entrants can provide a downloadable link from photo sharing sites such as WeTransfer, Dropbox, or GoogleDrive. Submission forms are available at www.portcolborne.ca/page/PortColborneProud.
3. Entered to win it. Once entries are submitted by the Jan.31, 2020 deadlines, finalist photos will be chosen by a panel of judges which will then open to a public vote for first place and runner up. Prizes totaling $1,650 will be awarded. Finalists photos will also be on display on the City of Port Colborne website and in an exhibition at the Port Colborne Public Library and select locations throughout the city.

As entries are only being accepted electronically, the Port Colborne Public Library has partnered on this campaign to offer interested amateur photographers assistance with uploading their submissions using their computer lab. PORTicipants are also encouraged to share their entries on social media using the hashtag #PortColborneProud and mentioning the City of Port Colborne and Port Colborne Public Library on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter.

“More than an opportunity to refresh our current inventory of images, this photo contest will provide our residents and visitors the ability to show us how they see Port Colborne, and it is their vision that will help us develop future marketing campaigns for the city”, commented Julian Douglas-Kameka, economic development officer.

To be eligible to submit a photo(s) entrants must be amateur photographers, at least 19 years of age, and residents and visitors of Port Colborne who are residents of Canada (with the exception of Quebec).
