IcePORTant Update – Disruption of Services.
Updated: 4:04 p.m. - The City of Port Colborne has ended the Significant Weather Event.
All primary roads are wet, but clear and secondary roads are clear with some slushy areas.
The temperature is currently at plus one and the rain has slowed to a light sprinkle, projected to completely stop by 6 p.m. Two crews will continue throughout the evening on road patrol and will be responding as needed to any issues, including downed trees. Temperatures are predicted to stay steady at current levels throughout the evening, warming to plus 10 by tomorrow evening. Winds are also predicted to be light until late tomorrow evening.
All City facilities will re-open at regular hours tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 7.

Due to freezing rain, there are disruptions to non-essential city services and facility closures including:
- City Hall
- Port Colborne Public Library
- Roselawn Centre
- Vale Health & Wellness Centre
Crews are out on sanding operations throughout the City doing primary and secondary roads. Crews are also maintaining intersections in the downtown area and at City facilities and sidewalks.
Port Colborne Fire & Emergency Services are operating as usual. They are reminding residents to use caution if they find it necessary to travel.

Niagara Eating Disorders Outpatient Program at our New Port Centre in Port Colborne are cancelled today.
Waste Collection Cancellations:
Waste collection is cancelled today and will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week. If your collection day is today, please bring materials back in and place back out for collection tomorrow by 7 a.m.
Mobile Cancer Screening Coach is closed today due to icy conditions. They will be back in Port Colborne at Bridges Community Health Centre on Wednesday, March 6.
