Committee of the Whole/Council Meeting Schedule: There are no more regularly scheduled Committee of the Whole/Council meetings in Dec. The first regular scheduled Committee of the Whole and Council meetings of the New Year will take place on Monday, Jan. 14, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 66 Charlotte Street, Port Colborne. Municipal Holiday Closures: City of Port Colborne operations, with the exception of the Operations Centre, Vale Health & Wellness Centre, Fire & Emergency Services, and the Library, will close for the holiday season Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019.
The City Operations Centre will be closed Dec. 25 and 26, 2018 and Jan. 1, 2019. In the event of an emergency situation, such as watermain breaks or winter control maintenance, emergency crews are on call for 24 hour service. Call 905-835-5079.
The Vale Health & Wellness Centre, 550 Elizabeth St., Holiday Hours of Operation are as follows: Monday, Dec. 24, 2018 - 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018 - Closed Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018 - 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2018 - 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (approx.) following the New Year’s Eve Family Celebration from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 - 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Vale Health & Wellness Centre will also be hosting FREE Holidays Skates, sponsored by Tim Hortons. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, 12 - 1:50 p.m.; Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, 1:30 - 2:50 p.m.; and Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, 1:30 - 2:50 p.m.

The Port Colborne Historical & Marine Museum, 280 King St., will close Thursday, Dec. 20 for the season and will re-open May 1, 2019.
The Port Colborne Public Library, 310 King St., will be closed Dec. 24, 25, 26, 2018 and Jan. 1, 2019. On Monday, Dec. 31, 2018 they will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Port Colborne Farmers’ Market will run the following Fridays from 7 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Dec. 14, 21, 28 and Jan. 4.
