City of Port Colborne Recruiting Election Workers

The City of Port Colborne will be hiring approximately 50 workers for the 2018 Municipal and School Board Election as Polling Supervisors/DRO, Poll Clerks, Tabulator Operators, Revision Clerks and Greeters.

“Working the municipal election is a great way to participate in your community and get involved in the democratic process,” said Amber LaPointe, City Clerk. “Previous election experience is considered an asset but we always welcome new workers to join the team. Training is provided to all workers.”

To work during the election, applicants must be available to work on the advanced voting dates, October 10, 13 and 17, 2018, or on Election Day, October 22, 2018. Selected applicants will be scheduled to attend a mandatory training session. Workers will be compensated after completing training and working their scheduled shifts.

Application forms are available at City Hall, 66 Charlotte Street, Port Colborne, and on the City’s website Those interested are encouraged to submit their completed application by September 10, 2018.
