Dog Licensing By-Law Awareness Program
The City of Port Colborne, in partnership with the Welland & District SPCA and DocuPet, conducted a by-law awareness program advising residents of their obligation to license dogs as per the City’s Dog Control By-law. Community Representatives, hired by DocuPet, have gone home-by-home to distribute this information.
Licences were not be sold at the door.
Residents living in the City of Port Colborne must purchase an annual licence for their dog(s) and can do so by:
1) Going online to portcolborne.docupet.com and paying with VISA, MasterCard, American
Express, VISA Debit, or Discover
2) Calling DocuPet at 1-855-249-1370 on weekdays between 9am and 5pm and paying with VISA, MasterCard, American Express, VISA Debit, or Discover
3) Going in person to the Welland & District SPCA at 60 Provincial Street
The cost to license a pet in the City of Port Colborne is between $15.00 $35.00 depending on whether the dog is spayed/neuter and the time of year. Licences are valid from January 1st - December 31st in the year they were purchased.
Approximately 8-10 business days after licensing, pet owners will receive a pet tag and DocuPet Rewards
Cards in the mail. DocuPet provides Lost and Found pet services to all licensed pets as well as access to their
Rewards Program offering deals and discounts on local and online products and services.
