Children invited to design Port Colborne’s Christmas card
Though many have Halloween on the mind it’s not too long before the big elf in red will be making his trip around the world.
Submissions are now being accepted for the City of Port Colborne’s Christmas card. Each year the city invites local children to come up with their best designs that follow the theme of “Christmas in Port Colborne.”
It can be a person, place or thing, as long as it conveys the Chrismas spirit, with a special focus on Port Colborne.
Submissions can be painted with fingers or brushes, or can be drawn with pencils, crayons, pastels or markers. They should be submitted on a stand sheet of paper, and can be horizontal or vertical.
Children who live or go to school in Port Colborne up to Grade 8 are welcomed to make their submissions.
The deadline for submissions is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26. They can be mailed to or dropped of at city hall, 66 Charlotte St., Port Colborne, ON, L3K 3G8.
