Economic Development, Tourism & Marketing

The Economic Development, Tourism & Marketing department plays an important role with Port Colborne's business sector. The department assists companies and entrepreneurs with locating or expanding in the municipality. It also assists businesses in expanding their market base, identifying available properties, and in accessing research, development, and capital funding. Staff also acts as a liaison between the business community and government offices and departments.

For the tourism industry, the Economic Development, Tourism & Marketing department prepares the annual Port Colborne Visitor's Guide, and operates the Visitor Information Centre. The department also coordinates tourism marketing for the City, and acts as a liaison between the City and local tourism operations.

Map From Toronto/Hamilton/St. Catharines:
- If travelling from the QEW, travel south on Highway 406
- Turn left at East Main Street, and proceed through the tunnel under the Welland Canal
- Turn right (south) on Highway 140, the first right turn after exiting the tunnel
- Turn right at the traffic lights at Main Street (Highway 3)
- Travel about 2km to Fielden Avenue
- Turn left at Fielden Avenue (Note, Fielden is a smaller street without a traffic signal, and is one block past the traffic signal at Elm Street)
- Travel south on Fielden Avenue about 1.2km to Carter Street
- Turn right on Carter Street (Although our address is Fielden, our entrance is off Carter Street)
- Enter through the "box office" doors

From Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake:
- Exit QEW at Lyons Creek Road, turn right (west)
- Turn left (south) at Montrose Road
- Turn right (west) at Schisler Road / East Main Street
- Turn left (south) on Highway 140
- Turn right at the traffic lights at Main Street (Highway 3)
- Travel about 2km to Fielden Avenue
- Turn left at Fielden Avenue (Note, Fielden is a smaller street without a traffic signal, and is one block past the traffic signal at Elm Street)
- Travel south on Fielden Avenue about 1.2km to Carter Street
- Turn right on Carter Street (Although our address is Fielden, our entrance is off Carter Street)
- Enter through the "box office" doors

From Buffalo/Fort Erie:
- Exit QEW at Thompson Road, travel south to Garrison Road
- Turn right (west) on Garrison Road (Highway 3)
- Continue to Port Colborne on Highway 3
- Travel about 2km past Highway 140 intersection to Fielden Avenue
- Turn left at Fielden Avenue (Note, Fielden is a smaller street without a traffic signal, and is one block past the traffic signal at Elm Street)
- Travel south on Fielden Avenue about 1.2km to Carter Street
- Turn right on Carter Street (Although our address is Fielden, our entrance is off Carter Street)
