CMT School Lots

The City of Port Colborne is pleased to announce the sale of fully serviced prime residential lots, The property, formerly site of the Caroline M. Thompson (CMT) School, was purchased by the City in 2007 from the District School Board of Niagara. The City has demolished the CMT School and has created parcels of land fronting along Scholfield and Hampton Streets. Each lot measures 18.522m x 41.168m (60' x 135'). 

The property is bounded by Ash Street to the north, Sugarloaf Street to the south, Scholfield Avenue to the west, and Hampton Avenue to the east. The property is located in the southwestern portion of the City within an established low density residential neighbourhood. Lands located to the north, south, west, and east are all zoned to permit single family residential use.

The City is selling the lots on a first come first serve basis to the general public. The City will entertain the purchase from one lot up to all remaining lots. A firm purchase price of $54,900 (plus HST) per lot has been set.

The City has also prepared a General Grading Plan for the property and has constructed a stormwater management system. Please refer to the documents available below for the reference plan, grading plan, requirements for building and zoning specifications.
