Nickel Beach still busy in the off-season

Access to Nickel Beach will be restricted to residents a few days in the coming weeks as the beach is host to producers of music videos and documentaries.

Production 1 – Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from (approximately) 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Mad Ruk Entertainment, based in Toronto, is producing a music video for Felix Cartal's single "Mood". Access to the beach will be restricted to the public from 5:30 p.m. until the end of filming at approximately 9:30 p.m. Filming will consist of a vehicles driving up and down the shoreline.
 

Production 2 – Tuesday, October 23 – Thursday, October 25, 2018.

Yap Films, also based in Toronto, is producing a documentary re-enacting Doomsday and the beaches of Normandy. This will be three full days of production and security will be restricting beach access to the public. The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Production Schedule: Tuesday, October 23, 2018 – 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. they will be filming and simulating explosions.

Wednesday, October 24, 2018 – 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Between 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. they will be filming and simulating explosions and gun fire.

Thursday, October 25, 2018 – 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Between 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. they will be filming and simulating explosions and gun fire.
